Dr. Michelle Gaubert
PT, DPT, Cert VRS
Owner/Founder
Hi! I’m Dr. Michelle, the owner and founder of FunXional PT. As a board certified physical therapist with a doctorate degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, my journey began in corporate physical therapy. I was often let down by the traditional insurance-based physical therapy experience as both an employee and a patient, so I wanted to create something different. I wanted to create a space where I could spend 1:1 time with my clients so I could actually get to know them and their story. I was so over the quick 10 minute visits that you find in traditional healthcare settings.
I’m an orthopedic and vestibular certified physical therapist and I consider myself an expert at treating neck pain, jaw pain, and sacroiliac joint issues. But what really gets me motivated is not only helping people get out of pain, but helping them to really optimize their physical performance. I like to leave people better than I found them. I’m your go-to for all things holistic health and wellness, supplements, workouts, and biohacking.I’m all about helping people heal naturally (which we are all capable of) and am truly passionate about raising the bar for the physical therapy industry as a whole.
In my free time, I love traveling, cooking, and fashion! My mantra is “heal the mind, heal the body.”What I cherish most is all of the amazing connections that I’ve built with my clients. I am not just your physical therapist but your trusted confidant and cheerleader. If we haven’t met yet, I cannot wait to meet you!

Dr. Lauryn Goff
PT, DPT
Physical Therapist, Coach
Hi! I’m a recent graduate of LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, where I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Early on, I knew I wanted to take a more nontraditional approach to healthcare. In my final year of school, I became certified as a health coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition so I could better understand how things like nutrition, sleep, stress, and daily habits play a role in healing the whole person.
I enjoy working with people who are dealing with neck pain and spine issues — it’s something I personally understand. During my first year of PT school, I came to Funxional PT as a client while navigating chronic neck pain. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for how powerful this kind of care can be, and how important it is to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms. I really believe your body can do incredible things when it has the right support, knowledge, and tools. My motto is: "you are your own healer."
Outside the clinic, movement is a big part of my life. I’m a Pilates instructor and also enjoy strength training, yoga, and beach volleyball. I love to travel and try out new workout classes in different cities. My holistic journey started when I was 23 (5 short years ago!), and I’ve been passionate ever since about learning how the body works by reading labels, exploring supplements, and staying curious about what supports long-term health ever since.
If you’re looking for a personalized, whole-person approach to healing, I’d love to work with you.

Dr. Emily Boyd
PT, DPT
Physical Therapist,
Performance Coach
Performance Coach
Hi everyone! I’m Dr. Emily and I am so excited to be a part of the FunXional team. I just celebrated my 10-year-anniversary of becoming a PT. Wow, time flies! I joined the FunXional team in 2023 after working in busy outpatient clinics for the past 5 years. I was looking for something slower paced where I could really focus on one client at a time to make sure that they were getting the best quality care.
I’m an orthopedic and sports performance PT & coach and graduated with my doctorate degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. I consider myself an expert at treating athletes with shoulder, hip, and ankle injuries. I’ve also recently gained some amazing new skills at treating neck and jaw pain. I’m a crossfitter and a runner(ish) myself, so I really connect with other adult athletes when they’re injured. What really gets me motivated is helping my injured athletes regain their strength. There is nothing better than feeling strong in your body.
I love the extra time that I am able to spend with my family and friends while working at FunXional PT, especially because I’m the mom of a Heart Warrior. I cherish all of the precious moments with my babies. Speaking of babies, I went through a long round of physical therapy after giving birth to my second child. I learned so much about my body and feel like everyone needs to experience PT at some point! It’s an amazing thing.
I absolutely hate the saying “no pain, no gain” and I feel like it shouldn't be a thing. It is totally possible to rehab an injury without being in pain. If you’re looking for a high quality rehab experience, I would love to work with you!

Hi! I’m Ashley, the Client Experience Coordinator at FunXional PT. I help all of our clients at FunXional PT transition smoothly through their treatment process. I’m also the friendly voice on the phone when you call our office. I feel especially passionate about the mission at FunXional PT because I am a trauma informed workout instructor myself and I know the importance of the mind/body connection.
I was initially inspired to join FunXional PT because I feel like investing in your health is something that is always worthwhile and I believe wholeheartedly in the treatments provided at this clinic. I’ve grown so much as a person and employee during my time with FunXional PT. Not only do I work at FunXional PT, but I’ve been a client here as well for a difficult foot injury. I can speak from experience, the care is top-notch!
Outside of FunXional PT, I’m a workout instructor and mom of two beautiful girls. I am also working on my degree in psychology! Fun fact about me: I am obsessed with oysters and can tell you all of the best spots in New Orleans.

Dr. Christina Jaimes
PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT
Physical Therapist, Coach
Hello, everyone! I'm Dr. Christina Jaimes-Weber, a board-certified orthopedic physical therapy specialist. I am proud to be an expert in movement, and glad to be a part of a clinic with a unique, and highly-personalized approach to care for patients unlike any other clinic I have been a part of.
I received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina in 2018. Passionate about orthopedic care, I then went on to complete my orthopedic residency at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland in 2019.
In my 8 years of orthopedic practice, I have gone on obtain my fellowship in orthopedic manual physical therapy, and have obtained extensive training in dance medicine and the care of performing artists. My expertise is in training all areas of the body, with the shoulder, pelvic girdle, and hip being some of my favorite areas of interest.
Outside of the clinic, I make exercise and movement a daily part of my own routine. I was a record-setting pole-vaulter and have completed multiple marathons, completing my first marathon at the age of 19. I am at my most fulfilled, physically and mentally, when I am exercising and moving. My husband, a native New Orleanian, is my gym buddy and biggest supporter.
I am a firm believer that movement is a privilege, and is absolutely crucial to giving life quantity, but especially quality. The tissues of body and brain have an incredible ability to change and adapt, and I look forward to sharing my expertise to help you tap into the tools you need to become the best version of yourself.
